Results of the CEQAS laboratory quality assessment

The clinic “Nadiya” once again showed high results in the external international system for assessing the quality of laboratory studies of the British CEQAS (Cytogenetic External Quality Assesment Service), gaining 100% in the evaluation of pre-implantation full genome embryo testing (PGT-A).

Thus, we have once again confirmed our desire to follow the high quality standards in the provision of medical services, including genetic diagnostics, GPL conditions, DSTU ISO 9001:2008, and the implementation of DSTU EN ISO 15189:2015.

MATCHER electronic witnessing system

The clinic of reproductive medicine “Nadiya” is one of the first in Ukraine to implement the Matcher electronic witnessing system.

Matcher tracks all stages of work with the patient and biological material without exception, and allows to obtain maximum reliability and safety in identifying patients, their reproductive cells and received embryos.

Electronic witnessing system is used by leading reproductive clinics around the world. The combination of special equipment and software in the Matcher system allows the visualization and recording of photographs at all stages of the infertility treatment cycle. In this case, the use of barcodes on containers with biomaterial allows the “electronic witness” to do double check, controlling the origin of reproductive cells and embryos.

We are happy to inform you that in November 2017 this system became available for patients in the Nadiya clinic.

Participation in the International Congress on ART in New York

The team of the Nadiya clinic took part in the International congress on assisted reproductive technologies, which was held October 25-26 in New York.

This year, the congress for specialists from around the world was opened by the director of the Nadiya clinic Valery Zukin with a report on the genetic markers for the embryo development arrest.
Pavel Mazur, embryologist was the second speaker from the Clinic of reproductive medicine “Nadiya” at the congress, who shared with his colleagues the successful experience of donating cytoplasm and told about the comparison of the methods of pronuclear transfer.

The Congress on Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART World Congress) is an annual event for infertility specialists from around the world. This year a considerable attention was paid to the experience of the pronuclear transfer of Ukrainian specialists from the Nadiya clinic (the birth of a child from DNA of 3 parents (mother, father and cytoplasm donor), thanks to which the couple, suffering from infertility for 15 years, was able to become parents without donation of the egg.

Audit of the effectiveness of treatment in the clinic “Nadiya”

For two consecutive years, the Austrian audit company Quality Austria has been conducting an independent audit of data concerning the effectiveness of ART treatment in the Nadiya clinic.

“Verification Report” is a logical continuation of the efforts of the Nadiya Clinic aimed at achieving and maintaining compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008.
The independent audit confirmed the reliability of the data representing the clinical outcomes of the Nadiya in 2016.

Medical Conference with the participation of specialists from the “Nadiya”clinicin Israel

February 5, an international medical conference on the subject of “Novel clinical approach for patients with oocyte failure: ooplasme donation with oocyte and zygote reconstruction ” took place in Tel Aviv.

Representatives of the Clinic of Reproductive medicine “Nadiya” accepted the invitation of colleagues from Israel and made the report about the innovative method of pronuclear transfer. The world’s first child was born in the Ukraine in January 2017 with the use of this method.

Valery Zukin, director of “Nadia” clinic, PhD, told colleagues about the past, present and future of nuclear transfer in human reproduction.

Embryologist of “Nadiya” clinic, Pavlo Mazur shared his experience with colleagues about “Nuclear transfer technique”.

Many thanks to the Association of human reproduction of Israel for the invitation and the interest in this subject.

“Nadiya” received International Quality certificate

We are proud to announce that the Clinic of reproductive medicine “Nadiya” is certified according to the quality management Standard ISO 9001:2008. World’s first baby with DNA of three parents was born in Ukraine after using the pronuclear transfer

January 17, 2017 Ukrainian fertility specialists of the clinic “NADIYA” made a statement about the birth of world’s first baby in Ukraine after the pronuclear transfer (“three parents baby”)

The term “three parent baby” simply explains the presence of DNA of three persons in the baby – mother, father and donor.

With the help of this method – pronuclear transfer of nucleus – 34-year-old woman, who suffered from infertility for more than 15 years, gave birth to a healthy baby “genetically own” with her husband.

Before, the woman had a lot of IVF attempts in different clinics, including those abroad (especially in Israel). The reason of her infertility is the inability of embryos to reach the stage of blastocyst. Embryos stop their growing at the early stages of development. Till this moment, only oocyte donation treatment could help such patients.

The essence of this method consists in the placement of the nucleus of husband and wife in a donor egg from which the nucleus was removed before.

As a result of this manipulation a “reconstructed” egg was obtained which had a genetic set of nuclear DNA from mother and father (approximately 25,000 genes) and cytoplasmic DNA from a donor (37 genes), that is, the child has “three parents.”

The presence of DNA from three persons was confirmed by the examination of the child during the pregnancy in the laboratories of Ukraine and Germany.

The birth of the baby after using of this method is registered first in the world.

In march 2017, the birth of second baby is expected from another woman with a similar history.
